Profile
Tom Zehnder is an award-winning composer and songwriter. His experience includes writing and producing rock/dance/pop songs as well as scoring orchestral music for video games, TV ads and documentary films. His most recent project involved scoring, editing and sound designing the audio book Sacred Sites: the Secret History of Southern California which has garnered him a "Best Sound Design" nomination from SOVAS.
Other highlights include producing over 30 songs in Ubisoft’s Just Dance series of video games, Van Helsing (the game) (lead composer/music supervisor) which garnered nominations for "Music of the Year" and "Best Orchestral Recording"; and Mattel’s Barbie Princess and the Pauper (composer/songwriter/singer) which won "Best Edutainment/Children Audio".
In addition, Zehnder teaches voice, guitar and songwriting at McCabes Guitar Shop in Santa Monica; serves as Music Director at Culver City Presbyterian Church where he continues to compose choral and solo works in the sacred music context; and co-leads the folk/blues/jazz trio Double Batch Daddy.
Tom Zehnder holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music composition summa cum laude from UCLA.
